課程概述 |
In the second semester of this course, we will journey through the colossal realms of poetry and drama. We will scrutinize some of the literary urns or architectures in The Norton Introduction to Literature, which I presume you have bought (or did you?), learning to read them analytically in the framework of literary terms such as tone, imagery, figures of speech, symbol, etc. |

課程目標 |
Hopefully, at the end of the journey, we will be able to understand, to talk, and to discuss a poem or a play critically, and what’s more—as I believe that literature is ultimately a discourse on life—we will be able to hear how a literary text speaks to us and to gain insight into our own life. Welcome on board.

課程要求 |
1. You are required to read the texts to be discussed in class and to participate in our class discussion.
2. Short writing assignments and oral presentation will be added to your workload.
3. An open-book final exam will be given at the end of the semester. |
